Frequently Asked Questions

How does the 99% guarantee work?

After a 30-day risk free trial, Abaca guarantees 99% or better daily spam filtering accuracy. Accuracy is calculated as:

Number of messages - number of errors
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Number of messages

Where errors are unfiltered spam messages (false negatives) and good messages put into the quarantine (false positives).

For each day that the accuracy falls below 99 percent, the customer is eligible to receive a credit that can be applied toward the renewal license fee at the end of the contract term, or a refund if not renewed.

What is ReceiverNet™?

ReceiverNet™ is a patent-pending, receiver reputation-based approach to detect spam. ReceiverNet is based on a sophisticated mathematical formula that uses receiver reputations to precisely differentiate spam from legitimate messages. A message is considered more likely to be legitimate if it is sent to recipients that typically receive a low percentage of spam. Conversely, a message is considered more likely to be spam when sent to recipients that typically receive a high percentage of spam. Learn more >>
