Support Engineer

Job Description:

Job Requirements:

  • Experience with shell scripting on a UNIX environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organization and communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service and strong technical, analytical, and problem solving skills.
  • Must be detail-oriented.
  • Ability to present technical concepts in clear manner to customers through demos and proposals.
  • Strong understanding of the internet protocol suite.
  • Technical support or Pre-sales Systems Engineer / Support Engineer experience.
  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.

Pluses:

  • 5+ years hands-on experience and knowledge with:
    • UNIX/Linux and SMTP.
    • Email infrastructure including Microsoft Exchange, sendmail, postfix and exim, active directory and LDAP.
    • Firewalls, network and messaging security.
    • Server installations
    • Previous work experience as a UNIX system administrator.
